Celebrating 50 years: Vet Class of 1975 returns to Manawatū
We were delighted to welcome 21 veterinary alumni from the Class of 1975, along with their families, back to Palmerston North and the Massey University Manawatū campus to mark their 50-year reunion.
The group was welcomed by Professor Jon Huxley, Head of the School of Veterinary Science, in the new veterinary research and teaching facility, Ngā Huia. They then enjoyed a fascinating tour of the veterinary faculty guided by Professor Jenny Weston, Dean of Veterinary Education, and Professor Keren Dittmer.
The tour included visits to the Tawharau Ora Student Learning Complex, the Massey Veterinary Clinic, and Ngā Huia. It was a journey filled with old memories, new stories, and plenty of laughter.
The visit concluded with a celebratory lunch in Wharerata’s Russell Room, a time to reconnect and reflect on five decades of contribution to the veterinary profession.
Thank you all for being part of this special day back on the Massey campus!
