Massey Aviation Centre Opening

In 1987 the Massey Aviation Institute opened with 28 students. Since then the School has grown significantly and this year will move into its own purpose-build Aviation Facility at Palmerston North Airport.

The $5 million complex will house aviation faculty, fight instructors and students under one roof for the very first time. Providing a bridge between academics and practice, the state-of-the-art facility will enable research collaboration opportunities and an enriched learning experience for students.

Massey University’s School of Aviation warmly invites aviation alumni, current and former faculty, friends and well-wishers to join us in celebrating this momentous step in the School’s history and help us officially open the new centre.
