From Beijing to Guangzhou: reconnecting, celebrating and looking ahead

During our recent China Roadshow in May, Massey University was thrilled to connect with alumni, partners, and friends across Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

Led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Students and Global Engagement, Dr Tere McGonagle-Daly, the trip was a celebration of our deep ties with China that span more than 40 years.

One of the many highlights of the trip was celebrating the very first graduation of Massey’s Joint Education Institute at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (MIAN), a proud milestone for both universities and our students.

Other highlights include:

With over 2,800 Chinese students currently studying at Massey and more than 21,000 Chinese alumni around the world, Massey’s global community continues to inspire us through leadership, innovation, and lifelong connection.

“Our relationship with China has been built on deep trust, collaboration and mutual success, and it continues to shape who we are as a university,” Dr Tere McGonagle-Daly says.

To all the alumni, students, partners and friends who welcomed us so warmly, thank you. We’re excited for what’s next.
